The top-seed Lausanne UC became the 2017/18 Nationalliga A titleholders after closing the playoff finals against No.2 Biogas volley näfels with a four set-win in Game 3, partially 25-22, 25-22, 23-25, 25-10. Thus, Lausanne made a sweep of the rivals in the series – 3-0.

The joy of Lausanne players was huge knowing the fact the club won their last championship title a decade ago and were defeated in the last two playoff finals in which they contested after that.

By winning this season’s Nationalliga A, Lausanne clinched their eighth gold medal ever in the league.
