WCH 2018 M: Lisinac’s rockets destroy Russia in tie-break, big victory for Serbia!

by WoV

What a night for the Serbian boys! They defeated Russian in an amazing volleyball show, making a comeback in the tie-break thanks to fantastic serves of Srecko Lisinac.

Serbia - Russia

Serbia – Russia

The Russian boys opened the game by taking the lead 5-2 and they even managed to increase it: 17:13! At that moment, Uros Kovacevic stepped on the service line, scoring two aces and pushing his teammates to take the lead 20-19! As of that moment, Russia took only two points and had to let Serbia this part of the game.

Both sides played an extended second set and Russia took this part of the game. Serbia again played better in the third, making a huge lead and controlling the game and taking the new lead!

We saw another answer of Russia in the fourth set, forcing the game into the tie-break!

Russia had a control until the very end, creating an 11-8 lead. However, serving run of Srecko Lisinac reduced the lead of the Russian boys and later with some good moves of Atanasijevic, Serbia won the game!

Aleksandar Atanasijevic has ended the game with 23 points, Uros Kovacevic had 21, Marko Ivovic 16, while Srecko Lisinac added 10! On the other side, Egor Kliuka scored 19 points, Maxim Mikhailov 17, Dmitry Muserskiy 14, Dmitry Volkov 13.
