WCH 2018 W: Japan crushed Argentina in front of 8500 spectators

The hosts of the 2018 FIVB World Championship celebrated their first victory at the competition together with 8500 spectators in Yokohama.

Japan surged to an impressive win over Argentina after only three sets (25-15, 25-13, 25-12). Sarina Koga was the key player of the winning team with 15 points helped by Ai Kurogo and Risa Shinnabe who scored 10 points each.

Team of coach Orduna played for each ball but that wasn’t enough. They were without energy and the best scorer in the team was Elina Rodriguez who put only 7 points on the opponent’s side.

Brazil – Puerto Rico 3-0 (27-25, 25-12, 25-7)

Serbia – Dominican Republic 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-22)

Kazakhstan – Kenya 19:20 (12:20)
