Today in Yokohama they defeated Cameroon in straight sets and scored the third consecutive win in Pool A. With positive vibes the team of coach Morrison will go on a free day.
Celeste Plak was the main scorer of the winning team. Today she exploded and scored 23 points while Laetitia Moma was the best in Cameroon with 17 points.
Head coach of the Dutch team Jamie Morrison: “It was a difficult match for us because we had the late match last night and spent a lot of energy and we did not sleep much because of the typhoon. Cameroon was a dangerous match and they have a lot of energy. We are aiming to be one of the top three teams in the world.”
Cameroon’s captain Christelle Nana said after the match: “We gave our best but the result was disappointing, especially because we could have won the second set. We will focus on the next match and keep learning.”
