WCH 2018 W: Bethania and Yonkaira crossed the power to defeat Puerto Rico

Dominican Republic celebrated the second win at the FIVB World Championship and secured the place in the next stage of the competition.

Dominican girls defeated Puerto Rico with 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-20) in Pool D and together will move to the second stage. Considering that the victory gives the Dominicans a 2-2 record, while Puerto Rico is also 2-2 after the defeat.

Bethania De La Cruz and Yonkaira Pena with 15 points each led the team. The veteran core of the Dominican team utilized their experience to dominate Puerto Rico. They passed and defended well and excelled on the attack. They displayed both power and finesse in the win.

Daly Santana was the best in a defeated team with 10 points.
