Even though Japan defeated Germany in three sets, they had a difficult game. The results in the first and the third sets prove it.
Sarina Koga was the best scorer in Japan with 21 points, while Ai Kurogo added 18. In Germany, Louisa Lippmann had 21 points.
Tandara (14 points) and Fe Garay (12) led Brazil to an easy win against Kazakhstan, to finish the first round stage in the second place.
