WCH 2018 W: China defeated Russia and saved USA

China scored the last win in the second stage of the FIVB World Championship for women and in that way brought the final standings in Pool F.

CHN – RUS

China defeated Russia with 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 25-15) and saved USA who will continue with the competition. The European giants will go home.

Ni Yan and Xinyue Yuan led China with 16 and 15 points while Irina Voronkova and Kseniia Parubets scored 25 points each but that wasn’t enough.

Pool F

DAY 4 –October 11:

Bulgaria – Azerbaijan 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-20)

Turkey – Thailand 3-1 (22-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-20)

Italy – USA 3-1 (25-16, 25-23, 20-25, 25-16)

China – Russia 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 25-15)

Standings: Italy (9-0) 27, China (8-1) 24, USA (7-2) 19, Russia (6-3) 18, Turkey (5-4) 15, Bulgaria (4-5) 11, Thailand (3-6) 11, Azerbaijan (2-7) 6.
