The Netherlands and Belgium score victories in the Volleyball Nations League.
Captain of the Dutch Anne Buijs scored 13 points to lead the Netherlands to victory against Thailand in their first match of the second week of the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
“Thailand play with a lot of combinations and a different style to what we are used to, so I think we did a good job with good serve pressure and good block. The serve pressure was very important because of these combinations, but we also blocked a lot. We are quite a new team with many new players, so I think we are getting better. But we are not there yet, so there is still a lot to work on,” says Britt Bongaerts.
Belgium took five sets to win against the Dominican Republic 3-2 (31-33, 19-25, 25-20, 25-16, 15-9) in their first match in Week 2 of the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
Britt Herbots was the best scorer of the game with 33 points, while on the other side Ceneida Gonzalez Lopez Gaila scored 28.
