In the 3rd round of the 2022 FIVB Men’s VNL, Serbia was better than Argentina in Ottawa, Canada, in Pool 2, to record its second triumph, while its rivals are at 1-2. The combined squad of the national team of Serbia has shown toughness in its second match in less than 24 hours. Igor Kolaković’s wards led 2-0 in sets, however, allowed the opponents to equalize, and then truly trampled them in the tie-break, leaving them at only 6 points. All in all, the bronze medalists from the last Olympics had to admit the defeat of 3-2. Serbia had as many as 5 double-digit players on the list of scorers which shows that they came to success with teamwork. The most efficient of the quintet was Miran Kujundžić (14 points).

The Netherlands staged a little upset in Brasília, Brazil, in its third encounter in Pool 1. ‘Oranje’ lost both matches at the start and it was expected that one more failure awaits them behind the door tonight. But not only did the Dutch team beat Iran but achieved a straight-set win in which Nimir Abdel-Aziz showed the most on the winning side, putting down 20 points.
