On the third day of the 2023 Volleyball Nations League (VNL), Turkey edged out Serbia, Poland beat Italy, and Thailand cruised to a triumphant victory against Canada in the opening game in Antalya.

The match between Turkey and Serbia saw the host nation snag their second VNL 2023 win. With a supportive crowd of over 8,000 in Antalya, Turkey rallied from behind to secure a 3-1 win over the world champion Serbia. Melissa Vargas stood out with 21 points in the match, with teammates Ebrar Karakurt, Hande Baladin, İlkin Aydin, and Eda Erdem also making significant contributions.

Simultaneously, the third day saw Poland securing their second victory, and Thailand’s inaugural win in this edition of VNL. The determined Polish team clinched a solid 3-1 victory over Italy, with Magdalena Stysiak leading the score. Thailand demonstrated its prowess against Canada with a sweeping 3-0 victory, led by outstanding performances from Wipawee Srithong and Chatchu-On Moksir.

In other games, Germany emerged victorious against Croatia after an earlier win over the Netherlands, Brazil outplayed the Netherlands, and the Dominican Republic topped Canada in Nagoya, Japan.
