The opening match of the day witnessed Slovenia stamping their authority with a 3-1 (31-29, 19-25, 25-20, 25-21) victory over Serbia. The Slovenian victory was primarily due to the exceptional performances of outside hitters Rok Mozic and captain Tine Urnaut, who scored 24 and 22 points respectively. Drazen Luburic emerged as Serbia’s top scorer with 21 points.

In the second match of the day, Poland exhibited superior skills on the court, outplaying defending champions France with a score of 3-1 (25-23, 18-25, 35-33, 25-15). Despite France’s opposite Theo Faure delivering a match-high of 28 points and Kevin Tillie adding 12 more, it wasn’t enough to challenge the Poles. Poland’s Karol Butryn led his team’s offense with an impressive 25-point tally, while Artur Szalpuk, Mateusz Bieniek, and Karol Klos also made significant contributions, scoring 16, 12, and 11 points respectively.
