Slovenia’s performance had its ups and downs, which is typical for this stage of the season. Under the guidance of coach Gheorghe Cretu, the team had a slow start, trailing 1-6 initially and failing to catch up in the first set. However, they quickly found their rhythm.
Slovenia managed to handle Canada’s strong serves and maintained a reliable attack. They seemed poised to win comfortably but faced a setback in the fourth set, which Canada won. In the decisive tie-break, Slovenia played with determination and secured the victory without much uncertainty. In the final set, Slovenia made a decisive move at 6-6, scoring three consecutive points to lead 9-6 and eventually winning the set 15-10 with a strong finish.
