In both men’s and women’s events, close competition was the hallmark, with many teams vying for the top spots.
In indoor volleyball:
- Men’s: France claimed gold, Poland secured silver, and the USA took bronze.
- Women’s: Italy emerged victorious, the USA finished second, and Brazil earned the bronze medal.
In beach volleyball, favorites generally lived up to expectations, though some surprises occurred. The men’s beach volleyball event saw Swedish duo David Ahman and Jonatan Hellvig take the gold, with Germany’s Clemens Wickler and Nils Ehlers finishing second, and Norway’s Anders Mol and Christian Sørum taking third.
