FIVB Women’s World Championships 2025 Teams Unveiled

The Women’s World Volleyball Championships 2025, set to take place in Thailand from August 22 to September 7, will feature a historic 32 teams, the largest field ever for the event. This tournament will introduce an exciting new format, including a group stage, knockout rounds, and a final phase.

The participating teams include:

  • Host Nation: Thailand
  • Automatic Qualifiers: Serbia (defending champions)
  • From the Continental Championships:
    • Africa: Kenya, Egypt, Cameroon
    • Asia: China, Japan, Vietnam
    • Europe: Turkey, Netherlands, Italy
    • NORCECA: Dominican Republic, USA, Canada
    • South America: Brazil, Argentina, Colombia

Additionally, 15 teams secured their spots through the FIVB World Rankings:

  • Europe: Poland, Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic, Spain, Greece, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, France, Sweden
  • NORCECA: Puerto Rico, Mexico
  • South America: Cuba
