IRI M: Roberto Piazza Named Iran’s New Head Coach

Roberto Piazza has officially been appointed as the head coach of Iran’s men’s national volleyball team, a role he will hold through the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. This move follows his recent departure from the Netherlands’ coaching position.

Piazza, who has a notable coaching career with top teams such as Allianz Milano, PGE Skra Belchatow, Modena Volley, and Olympiacos, will bring his extensive experience to Iran. He began his coaching journey in 1990 as an assistant coach with Parma and has since led national teams in the Netherlands, Qatar, and served as an assistant with Russia.
