The United States women’s national team inched closer to a VNL Finals spot with a confident 3-1 win over the Dominican Republic in Arlington.
After a narrow 23-25 loss in the opening set, Team USA bounced back strong, winning the next three sets (25-19, 25-16, 25-20). The win improves their record to 6-4 with 17 points—just enough to stay in the race for the quarterfinals.
Logan Eggleston sealed the match with a clean swing off the block, contributing 10 points. Avery Skinner led the attack with 18 points, while middle blocker Tia Jimerson added 14 points in a standout performance during her debut VNL season.
The Dominican Republic, now at 4-6, remains in the hunt, though the path to the Finals is steep. Gaila Gonzalez led her team with 19 points.
