CWCH M: Lube over ZAKSA reached semifinal

Italian titleholders Cucine Lube Civitanova scored another victory at the FIVB Men’s Club World Championship in Pool A in Opole. Match against hosts and reigning Polish champions ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle was finished after five equal sets and Italians secured semifinal spot.

Italian duo Tsvetan Sokolov and Osmany Juantorena were the leaders with 26 and 23 points while Sam Deroo scored 23 points for the hosts.

During the match Lube dominated from the service line ; they scored 11 aces while Zaksa only 3. The similar situation was in block; Lube 14 blocks and Zaksa 9. The hosts had more mistakes (35) while Lube had a better reception (52%).
