VNL W: Sarina Koga brought Japan their first win

With 25 points Sarina Koga brought Japan the first victory in the Volleyball Nations League for women.

In the last match of Week 1, Japan defeated Germany with 3-1 (25-21 25-23 21-25 25-17).

There were too many mistakes – especially on serve  – but their defense, in particular, was excellent with middle blockers Mai Okumura 18 points (9 blocks) and Nana Iwasaka 6 points (5 blocks ) both excellent.

In the other side, Louisa Lippmann finished the match with 22 points while Maren Brinker Fromm with 13 points.
