Bulgaria prevailed in a thriller against China in the 2018 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League Week 1 – Pool 2.

The USA vs. Argentina thriller at the 2018 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League opening in Ningbo, China, was followed by the encounter of similar intensity in the same pool.

Bulgaria threw China on their knees after trailing 1-2, partially 25-18, 18-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-11.

Bulgaria were better in blocking (9-3) while China served more aces (11-9). China gave as much as 15 points more to their rivals on account of own errors (39-24).

Boyan Yordanov top-scored for Bulgaria with 17 points. Jiang Chuan made 17 points as well but for China.

Poland swept South Korea in Pool 3 at home in Katowice, partially 25-20, 25-18, 25-21.

Artur Szalpuk delivered 16 points (4 kill blocks, 2 aces) for Poland who recorded 13 kill blocks as a team compared to 2 from South Korea.
