The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) organized a surprising opening of the 2018 Men’s Volleyball Nations League Finals.

A day before the Final Six sets off, the FIVB rounded up all national teams that will take part in the tournament on a beach volley court.

It was a highly unusual and innovative presentation that certainly reminded players on their youth volleyball days as this kind of teams’ presentation is common for youth tournaments. The players stood in two rows with officials in front of the stands while FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° held his speech devoted to the Final Six, accompanied with French Volleyball Federation (FFV) President Eric Tanguy and Sports and Grand Events Delegate of Lille Eric Skyronka. By the way, the beach volleyball court was set at Lille Place de la République (Lille Republic Square).

The FIVB will introduce a new feature on the games in the Finals at Stade Pierre-Mauroy – an additional TV camera which will be placed in the middle of the net and give a brand new perspective to the viewers in front of the TV screens.
