FRA M: Rennes remain leaders, champions Tours keep riding momentum

Rennes retained the first place in the 2019/20 French Men’s Volleyball Championship regular season.

After achieving victory against Ajaccio on the road in the ninth round of the 2019/20 Ligue A Masculine by a 3-1 (25-20, 21-25, 28-26, 25-22), Rennes kept the top spot in the charts with 7-2 and 23 points. This was the fifth successive win in the competition for the team coached by Serbian Nikola Matijašević. The Czech Kamil Baránek led Rennes with 20 points today. Axel Truhtchev scored 21 for Ajaccio, while Austrian libero Philipp Kroiss made 79% reception (14 digs, 21% excellent).

Montpellier swept Cannes to stay in the second place with 7-2 and 21 points, while the form of the champions Tours has definitely improved knowing that they wrote down the third success in a row, by beating Paris in straight sets, and came in fourth with 5-4 and 16 points.
