The Cameroonian outside hitter Nathan Wounembaina will remain the captain of Tours, in which he arrived in 2017, as he prolonged his contract with the eight-time French champions. The 35-year-old African star signed the new two-year deal.
This re-signing should somewhat reassure the worried Tours’ fans after many departures announced by the club. Actually, as many as five players, including many starters or key players of the last season, are about to find new clubs: Latvian Hermans Egleskalns, Serbian Konstantin Čupković, Czech Adam Bartoš (Nantes), Ukrainian Dmytro Teryomenko, and Maxime Capet (Saint Jean d’Illac, division 2).
Spaniard Ángel Trinidad signed for the Polish title contenders.
