Mulhouse won the first French Women’s Volleyball Cup in their history by dominating Istres in the final at home ground.

Mulhouse won their first-ever French Women’s Coupe de France, less than a week after obtaining the title of the national champions. It is the inaugural ‘double crown’ for the Alsatian club and the first ‘double crown’ in the country’s women’s volleyball since the one of Cannes in 2014.

Mulhouse dominated Istres in the final at home ground, 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-17), mostly thanks to their captain Héléna Cazaute (19 points, including 4 aces). Interestingly, Mulhouse and Istres also met each other in the last round of Ligue A, in the middle of the week, with the team commanded by Italian François Salvagni also achieving a straight-set win that pushed their rivals to the second division in the next season.

Cazaute won the MVP of the final trophy.
