The 2nd-seed Kentucky are crowned the 2020/21 NCAA DI women’s volleyball national champions.

The Wildcats have made history as they won their first national championship but also by becoming the first volleyball program from the Southeastern Conference to claim the national title. Kentucky (24-1, 19-1 SEC) beat no.4 and Big 12 champions Texas Longhorns (27-2, 16-0 Big 12) in the final in Omaha, Nebraska, by a 3-1 (20-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-22).

Junior outside hitter Alli Stumler stood out offensively for the new champions with 29 points. Her teammate, the senior setter Madison Lilley, was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament. She was also awarded the highest individual player honor in collegiate sport, the AVCA National Player of the Year.
