Luc Marquet will not continue as head coach of Arago de Sète beyond the 2024/25 season, the club announced officially. Marquet, who has led the team since the 2022/23 season, will conclude his tenure when his contract expires in June 2025.

The decision comes as the club prepares to launch a new sports project in line with the reopening of the renovated Halle Louis Marty this summer. Club president Alain Bilicki stated, “L’Arago, always stronger, always higher,” emphasizing their focus on future growth.

Marquet’s coaching journey starting immediately after his playing career. He led Alès to its first and only Ligue A promotion, coached Bordeaux’s women’s team, and served as an assistant coach during France’s European Championship win in 2015. Marquet also guided AS Cannes to the French championship title in 2021.

For now, the club extends its full support to Marquet and the team in their bid for playoff success this season, aiming to make a strong finish under his leadership.
