FRA W: Mulhouse Survives Thriller to Stay Unbeaten

by WoV

Mulhouse preserved its perfect start to the Saforelle Power 6 season after edging Béziers in a dramatic five-set battle (3–2). Despite cruising through the first two sets, Mulhouse saw its lead crumble as Béziers fought back to force a tense tie-break. The league leaders had to save two match points before finally sealing the win 19–17.

Cannes strengthened its position in the standings earlier in the evening with a comfortable straight-sets victory over France Avenir (3–0). The result moves Cannes into second place, taking full advantage of Levallois Paris’ stumble. The reigning back-to-back champions suffered their second consecutive defeat, falling 0–3 to Vandoeuvre-Nancy just a week after losing to Cannes.

In other matches, Le Cannet secured a routine win over Chamalières (3–0) to round out the top five. In a marathon contest, Bordeaux emerged victorious against Marcq-en-Baroeul after an exhausting tie-break (22–20). In the matchup between newly promoted teams, Saint-Dié prevailed over Évreux (3–1).
