The multiple German women’s volleyball champions Dresdner SC filled the gap on the opposite hitter’s position.

Dresdner signed the American opposite hitter Naya Crittenden for a one-year contract by which the Bundesliga club completed the squad for the coming season. Dresdner were forced to engage Crittenden as they lost her compatriot Audriana Fitzmorris (one of four newcomers from Stanford University) due to injury.

The 25-year-old Crittenden came to Dresdner from the Swiss side VFM – Volleyball Franches-Montagnes. Actually, she initially agreed to terms with Azerrail Baku but the Azerbaijani club terminated contracts with all foreigners after deciding to withdraw from competing in European cups.
