Ahead of the last round of the regular season, all 8 participants of the 2020/21 German Men’s 1. Bundesliga playoffs were already determined.
What results in the last round have changed was that Netzhoppers KW-Bestensee moved up to 6th place in the charts after beating Helios Grizzlys Giesen by a 3-1 and pushed United Volleys Frankfurt (lost to 3-1 against Volleyball Bisons Bühl) down to 7th place. It means that the reigning German Cup winners will face surprising vice-leaders SWD powervolleys Düren in the quarterfinals of the playoffs, which will start on March 10 and played in a best-of-3 format. Only the final series will be played to best-of-5.
