BR Volleys have announced that star setter Johannes Tille will part ways with the team at the end of the 2024/2025 season. The 27-year-old setter will embark on a new chapter in his career by joining a top Polish league team.
Tille’s journey with BR Volleys has been nothing short of remarkable. He truly shone during the 2022/2023 season, seizing the opportunity to step up when injuries affected the team and solidifying his place as a starter. His standout performances led to the “Season MVP” title in the Volleyball Bundesliga and a three-year contract extension. Over his time in Berlin, Tille has helped the team win two German championships, two DVV Cups, and three League Cups.
BR Volleys’ CEO Kaweh Niroomand shared that this decision was made with Tille’s personal development and national team future in mind. “We’ve had open and honest discussions, and we believe this move will allow him to compete at the highest level every week. Hannes has also expressed that he could see himself returning to Berlin in the future, which we’d welcome.”
For now, Tille is fully committed to the season ahead, aiming to help BR Volleys secure more victories and titles before saying goodbye.
