The Berlin Recycling Volleys have made history once again. In front of 8,553 fans at the Max-Schmeling-Halle, they secured their 15th German Championship title with a clear 3-0 victory over SVG Lüneburg (25:12, 25:23, 25:21).
This win wraps up a remarkable season for the BR Volleys, completing a third consecutive national triple—League Cup, DVV Cup, and Championship. It’s the first time a team has achieved this “Triple Triple” in German volleyball.
Berlin came out strong in the first set and never looked back. Jake Hanes, who later earned MVP honors, led the charge with powerful attacks. Ruben Schott’s serving streak and Johannes Tille’s smart plays helped set the tone early on.
Lüneburg, playing in their first-ever final, showed spirit and had moments of brilliance, especially in the second and third sets. But Berlin’s depth and experience proved too much in the end.
