The Volleyball Bundesliga kicked off with intensity and emotion as USC Münster stunned defending champions SSC Palmberg Schwerin in a five-set thriller (20:25, 25:22, 21:25, 25:21, 15:13). In front of over 2,000 fans, Münster fought back from 1:6 in the tiebreak, sealing a remarkable comeback. Emilia Jordan earned Gold MVP, while Schwerin’s Mia Kirchhoff took Silver.

In Hamburg, Allianz MTV Stuttgart made a dominant start, sweeping ETV Hamburg Volleys 3:0. Captain Antonia Stautz led with composure as Stuttgart collected its first three points of the season.

Aachen edged VC Wiesbaden 3:2 in the “Match of the Week,” a gripping contest full of momentum shifts. Former Wiesbaden star Celine Jebens scored 24 points and claimed the Gold MVP medal.

Schwarz-Weiß Erfurt also started strong, beating Binder Blaubären Flacht 3:0 at home. The win was overshadowed by a knee injury to Lydia Stemmler, but Erfurt’s confident display gave fans reason to celebrate.

The day’s most emotional moment came in Borken, where the Skurios Volleys made their long-awaited Bundesliga debut. Backed by over 1,000 fans, the newcomers lost 0:3 to VfB Suhl LOTTO Thüringen, but their fighting spirit and the crowd’s energy made it a debut to remember.
