The German Women’s Volleyball Bundesliga members Allianz MTV Stuttgart contracted a U.S. middle blocker.

Stuttgart found a replacement for the Brazilian middle blocker Micheli Tomazela Pissinato, who will be sidelined for a long time due to a partial rupture of the plantar fascia (a heel injury). It is a 22-year-old American Paige Tapp, a twin sister of Hannah Tapp who is also a professional volleyball player, competing for an Italian Serie A1 side Il Bisonte Firenze.

As for Paige, a former University of Minnesota volleyball team member, she has worn the jersey of the Puerto Rican Liga Voleibol Superior Femenino club Valencianas de Juncos last season, which was her first professional season.

Over the past few months, Paige has trained at the U.S. Training Center in Anaheim before spending the last few days in Italy.

Just like her sister Hanna, Paige took part in the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix this summer.
