GER M: Friedrichshafen’s alive! The „Häfler“ extend playoff finals vs. BR Volleys

VfB Friedrichshafen beat Berlin Recycling Volleys in Game 3 of the 2017/18 German men’s volleyball championship 1. Bundesliga playoff finals.

The top-seed Friedrichshafen made the 2017/18 Bundesliga playoff finals against No.2 BR Volleys open as they prevailed in Game 3 by a 3-1 (25-23, 25-16, 22-25, 25-23). Thus, they reduced the lead of their rivals in the best-of-five series to a 2-1.

The Greek Athanasios Protopsaltis and Daniel Malescha topped Friedrichshafen with 21 points apiece. The Slovak Tomáš Kocian served 4 aces, while Jakob Günthör made 4 kill blocks.

The Australian Paul Carroll delivered 14 points for BR Volleys. The Canadian Graham Vigrass recorded 5 kill blocks.

BR Volleys will have the chance to finish off Friedrichshafen and claim the title on May 6.
