Olympiacos pulled off a thrilling comeback in the opening set and never looked back, storming past AO Thiras Santorini with a commanding 3-0 victory (25-23, 25-14, 25-18) to secure a place in the Greek Cup final.
The turning point came in the first set. Trailing 6-12 early, Olympiacos slowly chipped away, fueled by key serves from Milica Kuboura and Melína Emmanouilídou. A clutch rally saw them level at 22-22 before a decisive block from Emmanouilidou sealed the set 25-23.
From there, the momentum was all red. Olympiacos dominated the second set with aggressive serving, especially from
Isabella Di Iulio, and strong counter-attacks, jumping to an 8-point lead (8-16) and cruising to a 25-14 finish.
Santorini briefly led 4-2 in the third, but Olympiacos responded swiftly. Emmanouilidou’s serve run broke the game open to 7-12. With contributions across the court—from Kuboura’s 18 points to Bianca Farriol’s solid blocking—Olympiacos closed it out 25-18.
With this win, Olympiacos advances to the final on March 22, where they’ll face Panionios for the Greek Cup title.
