Perugia reached the first win in the playoff quarter-finals of the 2021/22 SuperLega Credem Banca against Cisterna. It was a close battle that ended in 4 sets and lasted for almost 2 hours. Cisterna provided quite an unexpected resistance to the regular-season leaders and, in case they show a similar battle in Game 2 at home, they have the right to hope to get a tie in the series. Cuban-Polish Wilfredo León highlighted Perugia with 27 points.

The first day of the quarter-finals in the playoffs didn’t bring any upsets. After yesterday’s straight-set win of Itas Trentino over Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, today, apart from Perugia, Leo Shoes PerkinElmer Modena and Cucine Lube Civitanova took the lead in the series, reaching a 3-0 win each.
