Organized by Lega Pallavolo Serie A in collaboration with the Piedmont Region, the Municipality of Biella, the FIPAV Piedmont Regional Committee, and the Ticino Sesia Tanaro Territorial Committee, the competition will be held at the Biella Forum. This facility, capable of accommodating around 5000 spectators, is undergoing renovations in anticipation of the event.

The competition is scheduled between the second (October 29) and third (November 3) match day of the SuperLega Credem Bank Regular Season. The event will include top teams such as Scudetto Finalists Itas Trentino and Cucine Lube Civitanova, Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, and Sir Susa Vim Perugia.

Semifinals on October 31 will witness Itas Trentino squaring off against Sir Susa Vim Perugia and Cucine Lube Civitanova going head-to-head with Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, all contending for a spot in the November 1 Final.

President of the Lega Pallavolo Serie A, Massimo Righi, expressed enthusiasm about Biella hosting the event. He praised the city for its commitment to sports and appreciated the strong collaboration among all the parties involved. This competition is seen as an opportunity to promote top-level volleyball and extend its reach to newer audiences, specifically in cities where Serie A teams are not present.

The Mayor of Biella, Claudio Corradino, and Deputy Mayor, Giacomo Moscarola, conveyed their pride in hosting this prestigious tournament. They emphasized their excitement to showcase their city’s hospitality, passion for sport, and organizational capabilities. This event provides a unique opportunity for their young athletes to get inspired and for sports enthusiasts to experience moments of intense excitement.

This prestigious event marks the first official competition by Lega Pallavolo Serie A in Biellese territory since the Quarter Finals of the 2002 Italian A1 Cup Final Eight. The last Supercoppa in Piedmont dates back to 2010. With a rich history of volleyball in the region, the upcoming Supercoppa is an eagerly anticipated event, promising thrilling matches and unforgettable moments.
