The Cucine Lube Civitanova technical staff is in the thick of preparing for the forthcoming club season. With less than a month before their official reunion, planning for the SuperLega Credem Banca’s start is well underway. This much-anticipated season will kick off on October 22 at the Eurosuole Forum against Vero Volley Monza.
As the runners-up of last season, the team is slated to regroup at the Civitanovese building on the morning of August 21. Besides the distribution of equipment and introduction to the competitive year, the players will also undergo routine clinical tests and medical examinations. However, national team obligations will delay the arrival of several team members, who will join the group later.
In August, six first-team members are set to report, including libero Francesco Bisotto, middle blocker Enrico Diamantini and Jacopo Larizza, opposite Matheus Motzo, Norwegian setter Jakob Thelle, and the “Tsar” Ivan Zaytsev.
These prominent players will likely be joined by upcoming talents from the Academy Volley Lube such as Gianluca Cremoni, Francesco Giacomini, Marco Stambuco, and other rising stars of the red and white squad. The coaching team led by head coach Chicco Blengini, assistant coaches Romano Giannini and Enrico Massaccesi, and athletic trainer Max Merazzi, are diligently outlining the phased resumption of practice and a calendar of test matches, set to begin in September.
