The 2016 FIVB World Grand Prix – Group 1 match between Italy and Thailand was interrupted.

Pool F game Italy Thailand in Pool F (Round 1 of the second weekend) has been suspended because of a power blackout that hit the neighborhood where gymnasium in Bari, which is hosting Weekend 2, is located. The interruption came in the second set at 16-15 for Italy after they had won the first set 25-10.

“In accordance to the FIVB rule 17.3.3, the official postponement was declared after more than an hour as technicians were resigned to not being able to resolve the lighting problem,” FIVB website published. The date and time for the match, which will be played from scratch, is going to be announced on Saturday, June 18.

Despite blackout, players of both teams have entertained the crowd during game delay with their dancing skills and “bagherone” (bump passing) match.
