By beating Saugella Monza in Round 14, Serie A1 champions achieved ninth win in a row, returning to the top of the standings. Despite being highly handicapped by the injuries of several starters (De Kruijf, Skorupa, Ortolani), Conegliano confidently prevailed over Monza 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-22) with American Nicole Fawcett making 13 points.

In a big derby, Igor Gorgonzola Novara defeated Foppapedretti Bergamo 3-0, taking advantage of the absence of the Pole Katarzyna Skowrońska from rival’s roster due to injury. Thus, Novara extended winning streak to eight games. Croatian Katarina Barun led Novara’s scorers with 17 points.

Liu Jo Nordmeccanica Modena are slowly catching up with the teams from the top of the standings by winning the second consecutive game. Serbian Jovana Brakočević-Canzian had 23 points in the win over Savino Scandicci.

Italian rising star Paola Egonu played a high-level game against Il Bisonte Firenze, but her team Club Italia lost 3-2. Nevertheless, Egonu scored 37 points!
