Van de Goor
The 1996 Atlanta Olympcs gold medalist was diagnosed with lymphoma, a white blood cell tumor, in November last year, and ever since he has been undergoing treatments to cure this life-threatening disease.
But, even in this battle of his life, Van de Goor does not forget a club in whom he spent one of the most successful parts of his career, from the season 1994/1995 – to 1999/2000, Azimut Modena. As Serie A1 champions published on their Facebook page, the Dutchman surprised them by sending them a video where he expressed all his love towards the Modena regarding 50th anniversary of Italian club that was celebrated in December 2016.
The video is in Italian but it is worth watching it even if you don’t understand the language…
