“Last year I came to Perugia for this! Last season we lost two finals and from that, we learned so much about how to play and how to win such games. We won against a great team because we always believed, even in the fourth set when we trailed. We have a really strong team this year and with this great audience, we can do so much more. The joy of the fans? One of the reasons why I came here in Perugia is because I needed new motive after eight years at Lube. I want to bring something to this team for tremendous growth and all these people that are behind us,” Podraščanin said after the 2017 Italian Men’s volleyball Supercup finals.
“It was a pity for the finish of the fourth set when we did not take advantage of being 4 points up. Congratulations to Perugia who played overall better and deserved the victory in the Supercup. I did my best, even with a bit of back pain: now we will start working together for the next goals. We look ahead and look forward to all our fans at the team’s presentation at Donoma in Civitanova, next Thursday,” Lube receiver Osmany Juantorena stated.
