“Once again we did not start the match well and this is an aspect to analyze and to improve soon. Perugia created many difficulties and we have always tried to react. What I liked: we were close to reaching the fifth set against a team that played better than us and deserved to win the Supercup. Kovář? He was sidelined for a small muscle problem and I didn’t want to risk it. And anyway, I was going to use Sander. We came to this tournament with the will to win, now we want to work to get very quickly to the top of our shape: we are a strong team and we showed that in the finals despite being aware of the value of the rivals,” Giampaolo Medei, the coach of Lube, explained the reasons for losing to Perugia and his choice of the players for the lineup.
