They met Padova at the home court and it was an easy game for the team of Nikola Grbic. They controlled the game all the time, not allowing the rival to show their skills 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-21).
Toncek Stern led Verona to the victory with 16 points. Two more players had double digits on the winning side: Manavinezhad (10 points) and Jaeschke (10 points).
The Italian national team member Luigi Randazzo had a good display on the other side (15 points), however, it was not enough. Padova have suffered 9th defeat in the league.
