Diatec Trentino beat BCC Castellana Grotte in a postponed Round 17 game of an Italian men’s volleyball championship Serie A1 by a 3-1 (23-25, 25-22, 27-25, 25-16), scoring the 11th win in the last 12 games in the tournament. Thus, Trentino gave their fans a reason to expect big things in the national cup Final Four, which will be held next weekend in the city of Bari.
The Serbia national team outside hitter Uroš Kovačević was in the beast mode today, pouring in 25 points (2 aces, 4 kill blocks) for Trentino. The Greek Georgios Tzioumakas scored 19 points (3 kill blocks) for Castellana Grotte.
