Although they got off on the wrong foot against the fourth-placed SG VCA Amstetten NÖ/hotVolleys in Round 19, the DenizBank AG Volley League leaders SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob imposed their superiority, later on, 3-1 (20-25, 25-18, 25-13, 25-16). Thus, they continued to build on the championship lead by extending their winning streak to 14 games. Posojilnica made much more kill blocks than the rivals (14-6), with the contribution of 21 points (2 aces, 5 kill blocks) from the young outside hitter David Michel. Maximilian Landfahrer and Thomas Tröthann scored 13 points apiece for Amstetten.
By beating VBC TLC Weiz on the road in the Styrian derby by a 3-0, UVC Holding Graz became the closest pursuer of Posojilnica as they took over No.2 from SG Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel. Graz made much fewer errors than the opponents (19-33), having the German Maximilian Auste as their top scorer with 17 points, which is as much as the Pole Grzegorz Szumielewicz scored on the other side.
