In the last two days, the Italian men’s volleyball SuperLega defending champions Sir Safety Conad Perugia made two purchases and one contract renewal to officially close the 2018/19 roster.

A 27-year-old Sjoerd Hoogendoorn will act as a backup opposite to Serbian Aleksandar Atanasijević in Sir Safety Conad Perugia in the 2018/19. The left-handed Dutch player was the best scorer of his side Calloni Agnelli Bergamo in Italian Division 2 (Serie A2) with 534 points in the last season, sharing No.5 in the overall best scorer’s list in the tournament. Before coming to Perugia, Hoogendoorn won Dutch championship and Dutch Supercup once each and Dutch cup twice (all with Draisma Dynamo), Finnish championship once (VaLePa Sastamala), and Italian Division 2 (Biosì Indexa Sora).

A 21-year-old libero Alessandro Piccinelli, the member of Revivre Milano in the last season, also strengthened Perugia and will compete for the place in the lineup with Massimo Colaci.

In addition, the „Block Devils“ renewed with outside hitter Dore Della Lunga, who will be spending his fourth consecutive season in the club.
