The incident occurred when Takahashi attempted to save a blocked ball, leading to a fall that left him momentarily unconscious. Medical personnel quickly attended to him, and he was carried off the court on a stretcher and later transported to a hospital.

Philippe Blain, the coach of the Japanese team, commented on the situation, explaining that Takahashi briefly lost consciousness after hitting his head on the floor, and it was safer to send him to the hospital for further examination.

On Sunday morning, Takahashi reassured fans with an Instagram post saying, “Thank you for your concern. Kentaro is fine.”
