A series of surprising results disrupted the SV.League women’s standings in Japan over the weekend, with several top teams pushed to the limit.

Denso Airybees Koriyama rebounded from a straight-sets loss to stun defending champion Osaka Marvelous 3–2 on Sunday, snapping Osaka’s six-match win streak behind a 26-point effort from Rosamaria Montibeller.
Second-place Saga Hisamitsu Springs also stumbled, dropping a 3–1 decision to PFU BlueCats before edging a five-set rematch. Saga’s Stephanie Samedy delivered 31 and 33 points across the two matches.
Victorina Himeji split its series with Gunma Green Wings, falling in straight sets before rallying for a narrow 3–2 win. Camilla Mingardi led Himeji with 31 points in the comeback.
Astemo Rivale Ibaraki and Kurobe Aqua Fairies traded five-set victories, while league-leading NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki tightened their grip on first place with two wins over Aranmare Yamagata.
Queenseis Kariya climbed the table after posting back-to-back sweeps of Toray Arrows Shiga.
