Hisamitsu did not feel the bitter taste of defeat even after 13 rounds of V-League. Toyota Auto Body Queenseis became the latest victim of the side coached by Shingo Sakai – 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-13). Risa Shinnabe and U.S. superstar Foluke Akinradewo (3 kill blocks, 3 aces) led Hisamitsu with 15 and 13 points, respectively. Turkish outside hitter Neriman Gençyürek (ex- Özsoy) pushed Queenseis practically alone, making 19 points.
The defending champions NEC Red Rockets (5-8, 21-26 set ratio) seem to catch the momentum as they won the second consecutive game in the V-League. Thanks to 21 points from Sarina Koga, they downed Hitachi Rivale on the road in four sets.
The Serbian outside hitter Brankica Mihajlović helped second-placed JT Marvelous (9-4, 33-19 set ratio) to out Ageo Medics by a 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-18) as she notched 21 points.
Third-placed Toray Arrows (7-6, 24-25) beat Denso Airybees in four sets with 19 points from Mari Horikawa.
