KOR: KGC end 6-game losing streak thanks to monster display of Bergsma, KB Stars beat Wibee

Daejeon Korea Ginseng Corporation (KGC) have finally ended their losing streak in the Korean Women’s Volleyball Championship V-League which consisted of six games.

In their last game this year, KGC downed Seoul GS Caltex Seoul Kixx by a 3-1 (25-22, 17-25, 25-18, 25-23) with 39 points, including 5 kill blocks, of an American import Alaina Bergsma. The Senegalese opposite Fatou Diouck made 25 points for the losing side.

Uijeongbu KB Insurance Stars defeated Seoul Woori Card Wibee by a 3-1 (18-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-23), inflicting the fourth straight defeat to the rivals in the Men’s tournament. The Portuguese National Team player Alexandre Ferreira topped KB Stars with 24 points, while his teammate Lee Sun-Kyu contributed with 4 kill blocks. The Hungarian opposite Krisztián Pádár highlighted Wibee with 33 points.
